About the Golf Course
Imagine teeing off under warm island sunshine, a gentle sea breeze rippling through palm fronds and mirrored lakes glinting beside your fairway. At Fuerteventura Golf Club you’ll step into one of the Canary Islands’ original championship 18-hole venues—an emerald swath of manicured greens and wide fairways set amidst volcanic island terrain and shimmering Atlantic waters.
Designed by Juan Catarineu, this bold layout marked the dawn of full-sized golf on Fuerteventura and even hosted the Spanish Open in 2004. From first tee to final green you’ll find holes that ease you in and others that challenge you—with the wind as your natural rival and lake-side bunkers adding drama.
Getting there is simple: drive to Carretera de Jandía, KM 11, Caleta de Fuste, Antigua—just minutes from the island’s airport. The vibe is relaxed yet sophisticated: a resort-style clubhouse, pro shop, driving range and short game areas let both beginners and seasoned players feel at home.
Beginners will appreciate the generous fairways and island calm; more experienced players will relish the strategic Par-4s and temperament of the greens. With Canarian sunshine nearly year-round, this is a destination for pleasure, pace and performance.
