The panoramic views are almost unimaginable, and the surrounding fauna is found nowhere else in the world.

San Cristóbal de la Laguna, for example, has maintained its 15th-century layout and inspired the American colonies with its wall-less surrounding. With 400 species of fish, 56 species of birds, five different reptiles, two species of amphibians, 13 land mammals, thousands of invertebrates, sea turtles, whales, and dolphins. Make sure to bring your binoculars to catch a glimpse of the wild animals.
